OFFSHORE WIND and OTHER MARINE RENEWABLE ENERGIES in MEDITERRANEAN and EUROPEAN SEAS
Ricerca Sistema Energetico
RSE (Energy System Research)
conducts research activities related to the electric energy sector on public interest domains concerning strategic areas of interest for the national energy system.
Such activity – mostly supported by the System Research
fund – is aimed at sustaining R&D activities oriented to the technology innovation of general interest for the electric system, improving its security, the environmental compatibility and the economic and efficiency criteria.
At international level, RSE
participates at projects funded by the European Community
. It is presently involved in more than 30 projects for which it coordinates a thousand of European research centres and industry organizations.
Among the most meaningful projects, RSE
coordinates the EERA (European Energy Research Alliance)
on the Smart Grid topic, and the EEWI, a similar project on wind energy.
With the IEA (International Energy Agency)
participates to collaboration projects called Implementing Agreements (IAs)
In five of those, RSE
has the role of representing Italy.
participates at the Industria 2015
project with five plans aimed at tracing the guidelines for the strategic development and the competitiveness of the Italian production system.
works on plans which entail led lighting, micro-cogeneration systems, hydrogen storage systems, concentrated photovoltaic systems and offshore wind systems.

is the trade association for ocean renewables in Europe. It is based in Brussels and has nearly 100 members including some of the world’s leading utilities, engineering companies, device developers and research institutes. Their combined strength makes Ocean Energy Europe the largest and most powerful network of ocean energy professionals in Europe.
Ocean Energy Europe coordinates important European initiatives on ocean energy, such as the SI Ocean project and TP Ocean - the technology platform for ocean energy.
It is the main point of contact between the sector and EU institutions and works closely with the European Commission in important policy dossiers such as Horizon 2020, the SET-Plan Integrated Roadmap and the Ocean Energy Forum.
